Believing that developing and support the student’s creativities is a crucial duty, The University of Technology establishes the innovation students club, the place where knowledge and creativity are meet. The club is aiming to be a station that holds all the outstanding students and innovative ideas. It is an unprecedented step that reflects the conscious and renewed trends of the University of Technology in invested in student’s capabilities. The club will be an incubator of brainstorm, multidisciplinary projects, and collaborative work among the students.

As a part of community service and instilling the importance of University of Technology and its position in future generations, the second summer camp has been concluded in the presence of University of Technology President Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghaban.
During which this camp, the participants improved their English skills, computer principles, painting, music, and game programming. Participation certificates were awarded to 45 participants aged 10-15 years.
Research and Development Division organizes the last program of the summer camp for sons of University of Technology staff members. The program involves learning of a special program in computer (Coding with Scratch) presented by Google Developer Group GDG.

I am Ali Zuhair Google Developers Group Lead in Baghdad I grew up in Karbala, Iraq and originally studied Computer Science at the University of Technology – Iraq.
My passion for community building has helped me meet a lot of great people and led me to where I am today At ALTAMEER Systems Solutions. Now I am a UoT Innovative Students Club organizer one of the UoT volunteer students programs to train students in the latest technologies. As a GDG manager, I ran community events, workshops and hackathons for developers in Baghdad, to help the community to solve the local problems using technologies.
My last words to all of you “Don't be your own roadblock. There is nothing in the world that you can't do or achieve. As long as you don't stop yourself from taking a leap and striving for your goals, you will do just fine.”
